Where can I purchase tickets?
Advance tickets may be purchased online right here on our website or via Ticketfly.

You can also get advance tickets at Wooly’s (504 E. Locust, Des Moines) M-F 12-5pm and during shows with no service fees (cash only).

Day of show tickets are available at the front gate with cash or credit card.

Are children free?
Children 10 and under accompanied by an adult are free.

What if a show moves to the Walnut Street Bridge?
The Walnut Street Bridge is located next to the Simon Estes Amphitheater on Walnut Street between 2nd Avenue and E. 1st Street. Entrance is on the west side of the bridge only. If a show is moved to the Walnut Street Bridge due to flooding at Simon Estes, it will be posted on our website, Facebook and Twitter.

What if it rains?
Check our WebsiteFacebook, Twitter and the Des Moines Register’s website for details on if the show is going to be moved indoors or postponed. If nothing is posted the show is still currently on schedule to happen outdoors at the Simon Estes Amphitheater. As soon as a call is made, we will post the rain location or postponed date, plus all additional details.

What payment methods are accepted at the show?
Cash or major credit cards may be used to purchase tickets and drink tickets. Cash only for food.

Can I smoke on the grounds?
Smoking is not allowed anywhere within the Amphitheater grounds. You can smoke outside the grounds and re-enter with your wristband received upon admission.

Can I bring outside food or beverages?
No, but they are available for purchase within the grounds. Coolers are also not allowed.

What drinks and food are available? How much is it?
$6 – Draft beers: Fat Tire, Somersault – 16 oz. Cans: Ranger IPA, Shift, Coors Light, Mike’s Hard Lemonade – Wine: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay

$2 – Pop (cans) and water

Food options will vary by show and range between $3-$8.

Are lawn chairs or blankets allowed?
Yes, please feel free to bring them.

Is re-entry allowed?
Yes, each attendee receives a wristband upon at the admission gate. You can leave and re-enter with your wristband.

What’s the deal with bicycle parking?
Free, monitored bicycle parking is available inside the event grounds. If you bike to the event and park inside, you get a free can of Fat Tire for participating. Just ask about it at the front gate upon arrival.

What can I bring into the show?
Allowed to bring: lawn chairs, blankets, small non-frame backpacks

Not allowed to bring: coolers, outside food or beverages, professional photography equipment or SLRs, large frame backpacks, audio recording device. All entrants may be subject to a search.

Rules and Regulations
• No illegal drugs, weapons or fireworks.
• No pets.
• No unauthorized vending.
• Underage drinking is prohibited.
• Keep the venue grounds clean. Use the marked trash and recycling stations.
• Smoking is NOT permitted inside the venue grounds.
• No audio or video taping.

The Simon Estes Amphitheater is located at 75 E. Locust Street in downtown Des Moines, Iowa.

From I-35N or I-80E
Take I-235E to Penn Ave. exit, take a right off the exit ramp going South. When you reach Locust St. take a right and continue approx. 6 blocks, Simon Estes is on the left hand side of the road, just west of Embassy Suites Hotel.

From I-35S or I-80W
Take I-235W to Penn Ave. exit, take a left off the exit ramp going South. When you reach Locust St. take a right and continue approx. 6 blocks, Simon Estes is on the left hand side of the road, just west of Embassy Suites Hotel.

Free parking is available after 6pm at the parking meters on Walnut Street and Locust Street. City Hall parking lot is also available after 6pm and is located on Robert D. Ray Drive between Locust Street and Grand Avenue, just one block North of the Amphitheater.
